FIRING RANGE IN

NEW POLICE STATION

TOWN OF VIENNA, VA

The Vaughn Collaborative has offered their  consulting services to program and design the indoor small arms training facility in Vienna, VA. The police headquarters building is currently operating the range in the basement of the existing building. We are currently in the Construction Documents phase and the department shall maintain a four (4) lane range operation in the new building.

Our services include working with Dewberry and the police to program the new range and design this space with all considerations for the shooting environment.  Those range features shall include: hardening of construction to retain all rounds within the range, advise engineers regarding mechanical and ventilation systems within the range space, isolate or diminish noise from escaping the range based on best sound attenuation practices, specify range fit out in regard to baffles, bullet traps, shooting booths
